Combinations of replicas of five different books of the Torah. Each one is unique in terms of the century it was written and in the country it was found in. Written in the 14th century, this array of Tabernacle implements is typical of the sephardic tradition. This Ashkenazi-style Haggadah, written in the 14th century, avoids depicting human features by using bird heads. A book from Erez Israel. Implements of the Tabernacle shown here are from a 14th century German Bible. This 19th century Megillat Esther was produced in Ashkenazi script, and is known as one of the scrolls of the King. |
